Inventor, Mentor, and Retail Innovator.

Meet Frank

From idea to aisle - Frank has spent more than 30 years helping inventors turn great ideas into products that sell.

Frank Saladino, Jr. is the Founder and CEO of Trentco Innoventions and creator of InventSmartUSA - the mentoring and R&D platform that helps inventors bring their ideas to market.

For more than 30 years, Frank has been involved in every step of the invention process — from concept and prototyping to manufacturing and retail distribution. His company became a trusted vendor for Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, and As Seen On TV, and his invention, the ProHandle, is now sold nationally and internationally. The ProHandle was even used to install all of the grass at the new Yankee Stadium.

Frank also holds the distinct honor of being the last inventor to work with the legendary Billy Mays, whose final commercial featured Frank’s invention.

Today, through InventSmartUSA, he teaches inventors how to avoid costly mistakes, operate like entrepreneurs, and create investor-ready plans that open real doors.

From Garage Inventor to Retail Vendor →

Frank’s journey started like many inventors — with a big idea and no roadmap. After years of trial and error, he learned the hard way how to build a product that buyers actually want.

This included getting ripped off by an invention company for thousands of dollars in 1996, and even by a local engineer in 2000 who stole $100K from him. Frank had to sue which cost another $60k until he finally ran out of money.

He vowed to create a “Safe Haven” for all inventors so that they could learn from Frank’s experiences (both good and bad).

That process led to Trentco Innoventions, which became a Home Depot vendor, and later, to InventSmartUSA, built to teach others how to do the same.

Along the way, Frank developed the ProHandle, a simple but powerful invention that revolutionized how professionals and government agencies handle tools. With Billy Mays’ legendary endorsement, it became a national success story.

"Most inventors don’t fail because of their ideas - they fail because they never learn the process.”

Frank Saladino, Jr.

Why inventsmartusa exists

After decades in the industry, Frank saw a painful truth: most inventors lose money (and time)not because their ideas are bad — but because they don’t understand the business side of invention.

InventSmartUSA was created to change that. By combining mentorship, proven systems, and retail insight, Frank and his team help inventors avoid the traps of expensive invention companies and finally take control of their success.
