From 1997 to 2026, Trentco Inc., DBA Trentco Innoventions has been working solely in pursuit of the development and marketing of its own products and only recently, through the creation and implementation of InventSmartUSA in 2026 have we expanded our scope to include “Product and Business Education and Product Development” for product creators and entrepreneurs. These services and consultations are offered through us or referred to third-party companies for the purposes of developing, promoting, licensing and distributing the products of others. We can only make recommendations. Our clients are free to choose for themselves what services they use or by whom.
We provide a FREE Masterclass for all potential clients to review and prepare questions prior to our FREE 45-minute consultation where they are given the opportunity to ask questions about our program and history, as well as state their goals and ask how we can help them achieve their goals.
We charge $4,995 for our 8-week workshop (see website for workshop details). We also provide additional services, such as Project Management and consultation billed at $300 per hour with a retainer of $3,000. We are happy to discuss this in further detail according to the goals of the product creators.
Though it is not possible to evaluate a product or idea with the goal of determining if it will be a success in the marketplace, we do evaluate your product to determine if our selected and confidential sources would be interested or if we, Trentco Innoventions would be interested in licensing, managing or assisting with your new product or idea.
Though Trentco Innoventions is a supplier for Home Depot, Lowe’s and Menards, the marketing or licensing of a new product is a difficult and very uncertain one with no guarantee of success or profit. Therefore, the receipt of royalties, license fees, sales proceeds or other forms of revenue is a contingent possibility only. Our Masterclass and Workshop go into the reasons why in greater detail.
There are no previous invention promotion companies with which InventSmartUSA or its officers have collectively or individually been affiliated with since its inception.
We only work in full compliance with the USPTO and in accordance with the American Inventor’s Protection Act (AIPA).
AIPA requires Invention Submission Companies to claim if a client has ever made any money from their services. We distinguish ourselves from Invention Submission Companies. Unlike these companies, we are suppliers to these retailers and have sold millions of dollars of our own products through them. As a result, we have the unique opportunity to go directly to our retail buyers on behalf of you and your products. To be clear, getting a product approved by a buyer does not mean you will ever make one sale. We know this as fact because this happens with our own products. The success of your product (and ours) is solely based on your product’s attributes and the market’s need for your product. There are no guarantees. We are very specific and clear about what we base our success rate on. Our claims and services are based and limited to having the ability to present your product directly to our buyers, and having real discussions about the probability of getting your product approved for sale with Home Depot, Lowes and (or) Menards. That is where our claim ends. Currently, we have a 100% success rate of presenting products to our buyers and as of 2026, have a 100% success rate of getting products accepted by at least one of our merchants. We make no promises or imply the likelihood of success. As a matter of fact, it is more likely a product will fail for a variety of reasons.
We provide you with our history of successes and failures up front. This document will acknowledge that we have divulged this information to you during our required initial consultation.
We are upfront with our fees and services. You will have every opportunity to use the service(s) you feel will most advance your goal.
We may, at times, refer you to third-party companies who may be able to serve you better. You will work directly with them if you choose.
Our facts are presented simply, clearly and honestly, and you will always have the opportunity for further clarification prior to any payment.
Any advice or recommendations we offer are solely based on our real-world experience with investors, retailers, buyers, distributors, manufacturers and engineers, as well as with unethical invention submission companies, among many others.
We have been successful suppliers to the largest home improvement retailers in the US for over 3 decades.
Our recommendations and 8-Week Educational Workshop are based on over 3 decades of personal experience. None of it is second-hand information.
It is a self-evident truth that taking our education course does not mean or imply that you will experience success of any kind. Much like taking a college course in Entrepreneurship, the course itself does not in any way guarantee a successful business. These are two unrelated factors. The information in our course is 100% correct and success depends on what or how the student uses this information and what their definition of success looks like.
Our consultations are strictly based on our personal experience on what has worked and what has not worked in our past.
For those entrepreneurs and manufacturers with existing products who would like us to represent their products to our buyers. We can guarantee that our buyers will review your product and that we will vigorously advocate for your products but cannot guarantee the buyer will accept it. We do not have that authority. There could be many reasons for this which may or may not actually have to do with your product and more about timing, competition or the market among many other factors. If a product is denied, we will always tell you the reason why. For the safety and security of our retail merchants, our clients will not at any time have access to the buyers or be allowed to communicate with them. We can, however, communicate on your behalf prior to a final decision being made by the merchant.
Regarding our private consultations and workshop, it is not required or necessary for us to know anything about your product. We can only offer advice based on the information you tell us. Patent protection is the responsibility of the product creator, not InventSmartUSA or its sister company, TrentcoUSA.
Our workshop is strictly designed to educate the product creator on what their product horizon will likely look like, based on our experience. The workshop is based on our personal experience of over three decades, and we use our own invention, the ProHandle to describe your path forward. We rely on the product creator to use their imagination to envision their own product being integrated into these lessons.
It is not necessary for us to know anything about your product at any time, and we have zero claim to your product.
In the event you are considering our sister company, TrentcoUSA for product distribution then a separate Exclusive, Non-Circumvent Agreement will be delivered.
